Spherical plain bearing

date:12-04-11, 05:00 PM

Item name: Spherical plain bearing

Model: GE...E series, GE...ES series, GE...ES-2RS series, GE...C series, GE...CS-2Z series, GE...ES-2RS series.

Application: Engineering hydraulic cylinder, Metal forming machine, Engineering machinery, Automation equipment, Car shock absorber, and etc.

Description: Spherical plain bearing is made up by inner ring and outer ring. The inner ring has a spherical outside surface and the outer ring has inner spherical surface. It can support large load including radial load, axial load or combination load according to the different types and structures. Spherical plain bearing is general used for lower speed swinging motion. Since the sliding surface is spherical , it also can do tilt movement in certain angle range. Spherical plain bearing resists corrosion and abrasion. And also it has the character of self-aligning, lubrication and self-aligning. It can work well even if in dislocated installation.

Spherical Plain Bearings are manufactured in a wide variety of materials and are designed to offer bearing solutions in almost any operating environment. These high-quality spherical plain bearings are suitable for heavy-duty, off-highway vehicles, agricultural equipment, construction and mining and logging equipment, packaging and textile equipment, and robotics.

Spherical plain bearings have an inner ring with a sphered convex outside surface and an outer ring with a correspondingly sphered out concave inside surface. The design makes them particularly suitable for bearing arrangements where alignment movements between shaft and housing have to be accommodated, or where oscillating or recurrent tilting or slewing movements must be permitted ar relatively slow sliding speeds.

Spherical bearings are used in countless applications, wherever rotational motion must be allowed to change the alignment of its rotation axis. A good example is the drive axle bearings of a vehicle control arm (or A-arm) suspension. The mechanics of the suspension allow the axle to move up and down (and the wheel to turn in order to steer the vehicle), and the axle bearings must allow the rotational axis of the axle to change without binding. While in practice, spherical bearings are not used here, it is a simple concept that illustrates a possible application of a spherical bearing. In fact, spherical bearings are used in smaller sub-components of this type of suspension, for example certain types of constant-velocity joints.
